The region is now easily accessible from the United Kingdom by air. Ryanair flies daily from Stansted to Ancona and Pescara; Ancona is just over an hour away by car and Pescara about two. Car hire companies operate at both airports. Further afield, Perugia, Forlė, Rimini, Pisa and Rome Ciampino also have Ryanair flights from various airports in the UK and Ireland. Alternatively, British Airways flies from Heathrow and Gatwick to Bologna. BMI flies from Aberdeen and Heathrow to Venice and from Birmingham to Rome Fiumicino via its low-cost subsidiary BMI Baby, while Easyjet operates routes from Luton to Rimini and from a number of airports to Rome.
Ancona also has flights from many other European cities, such as Munich, Frankfurt, Paris and Barcelona.
American Airlines fly daily from JFK airport (New York) to Stansted (London), with onward travel to Ancona by Ryanair. Other intercontinental flights to Italy usually arrive at Rome Fiumicino, Milan or Bologna, where it is easy to collect a hire car to reach Le Marche.
